Every day, around 3,000 employees of RUAG and RUAG Real Estate make as significant contribution to the security of Switzerland. They ensure that the Swiss Armed Forces and other emergency and security organizations can comprehensibly carry out their tasks at all times.

You can move it

Implement the ACAS-Xa standard within RUAG AG's existing simulation framework, including adapting interfaces and resolving inconsistencies in the provided code.
Validate the compatibility between RUAG's Detect and Avoid (DAA) system and the ACAS-Xa logic by testing their interaction across various simulated scenarios, including extensive Monte Carlo simulations.
Simulate the ADS-15 platform equipped with ACAS-Xa and compare it to the RUAG DAA product to demonstrate the performance gains achieved by using the ADS-15 system.
Prepare technical documentation and reports detailing the implementation process, test results, compatibility assessment, and performance comparison.
If time allows, repeat the same tasks for the ACAS-Xu system.

What you should bring with you

Proficiency in Python; experience with MATLAB and C/C++ is a strong advantage
Solid understanding of mathematically abstracted models and their application in engineering
Basic knowledge of Git or similar version control systems
Familiarity with collision avoidance systems is a plus; prior knowledge of the ACAS-Xa standard is not required
Creative and solution-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation
High technical aptitude and strong willingness to learn, especially in modelling and simulation, system theory and algorithms, control engineering, and system architecture
Ability to collaborate effectively with the project team
Excellent analytical and planning skills, combined with a high level of responsibility and perseverance
Good command of English; knowledge of German is an asset
